I am an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. My primary areas of interest are ethics, metaethics, practical reason, and aesthetics.

My current research concerns practical reasoning and the 'ought implies can' principle, as well as some topics in aesthetics: subtlety and high versus low art. For more on my research interests, click over to Research.

You can find me elsewhere on the web as the aesthetics area editor for the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy and at the blog Aesthetics for Birds.

P.S. If you're here for the IEP Aesthetics "Desired Articles" list, you've come to the right place.
