I am an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at the University at Buffalo, SUNY (a.k.a. SUNY Buffalo). My primary areas of interest are ethics, metaethics, practical reason, and aesthetics.

My current research concerns the 'ought implies can' principle, practical reasoning, and moral versus aesthetic normativity. I am also interested in aesthetic subtlety and high and low art. For more on my research interests, click over to Research.

You can find me elsewhere on the web as Editor-in-Chief of the aesthetics and philosophy of art blog Aesthetics for Birds.

Feel free to send me an email at alexk@buffalo.edu.
